Audioscope Facilities:
Audioscope is centrally located within San Diego and is easily accessible from two major freeways. Ample parking is available directly in front of the building. A wheelchair ramp provides easy access from the handicap parking spaces to the front door. Audioscope is the first suite on the left of the lobby as you enter the one-story building.
Our
waiting room is spacious and pleasantly appointed. It includes a play
area for children, a large selection of current magazines and informational
brochures, and a display case of retail supplies for your hearing and
hearing aid needs. The office suite includes a 6' by 6' commercially manufactured
sound-treated booth in our hearing evaluation room, as well as a hearing
aid fitting room, consultation room, special tests room, hearing aid lab/workshop,
staff offices and an on-site restroom for your convenience. All rooms
are wheelchair accessible.
Our
hearing aid fitting equipment is state-of-the-art. We have computer software
and cables for connecting to most manufacturers' programmable hearing
aids. Real-ear-probe microphone measures are made with the hearing aid
in the patient's ear to collect real-time data regarding hearing aid output
in-situ. Our hearing aid lab equipment allows us to modify hearing aid
housing and earmolds, and to perform external hearing aid maintenance
and minor repairs.
